itself a sweet thing . Bengali means "rosogolla", Bengali means "macher(fish) jhol bhaat" , Bengali means "chuti pele friends der songe adda mara", and last but not the list Bengali means sharee pore durga pujoe ashtamir Anjali deoa.
Bengalies are awesome,anywhere it is they find
the Bengali person and specially Bengali foods and most important thing is, they
arrange durgapuja no matter how difficult it is.
Durgapuja is the main festival for Bengalis &
Kolkata is the perfect place to enjoying it. Durgapuja happens every year in between
September to October .At the same time NAVRATRI runs for 9 days in North India but
Durgapuja runs for 5 days.
The days are called,
SOSTHI- means homemade foods & fuchkas(golgappa), cold drinks
SAPTAMI- means eggroll, puffs, Chinese Italian and many other
ASHTAMI -means ANJALI dena & pure veg (It is a rule of some family to not eating non -veg in that day)
NABAMI- means chicken & mutton &
DASHAMI-means misti mukh & sidur khela.
The days are called,

and eat whatever they want to eat. In Kolkata competition happens in between
Puja pandals , clubs, and Durga Pratimas. The award is given after DASHAMI puja

Many clubs organize social service related work like
donate cloths to orphaned child and old age home members,arrange to show
worship and sweets for all. Those things are very touching for all, because
puja is for all when everyone part of it,it is more enjoyable for all.
