GESTATION PERIOD

Pregnancy Period of mammal is also called as Gestation Period. It is a stage of carrying developing fetus within the Female body. Every mammal has a particular time of Gestation Period. Some of the period is very long and some are very short. This period vastly depends on the size of each animal. Elephant have the longest Gestation Period of the whole animal Kingdom. They carry their baby for around 2 years before giving birth. On the other hand some mothers give birth to her baby within a month. Here we are discussing about 10 shortest Gestation Period of animal kingdom.  

10.  KANGAROO:
KANGAROO IS CARRYING A JOEY IN HER POUCH

Pregnancy Period of Female Kangaroo is around 21 to 40 days. She can give birth up to 4 babies at one time. After the birth they clean their pouch for the Joey (baby). Joeys are much smaller than mother. She always carries the joey in her pouch for next 16 to 17 month. Based on shortest Gestation Period kangaroo is in 10th position.
            
9. SQUIRREL: 
 MOTHER IS PROTECTING HER BABY

Female Squirrel (gray) can give birth twice in a year. They can give birth of 3 to 4 babies at once. The Gestation period of squirrel is 30 to 35 days. Kittens are blind when they born. They have no hair on their body. After 4 weeks they can open their eyes and after 10 week they leave their nest to explore the nature.

8. RABBIT:
MOTHER IS WITH HER BABY

Gestation Period length of Rabbit is 31 days. Doe (female rabbit) can give birth of 1 to 12 babies at a time. Pregnancy period wise this is the 8th shortest Gestation period of animal kingdom.

7. MUSKRAT:
DEN OF MUSKRAT

Female muskrat produces baby several times in a year. Her Pregnancy lasts for 27 to 29 days. She gives birth of 6 to 7 babies at a time. They are blind and full red colored skin when born. Babies depend on their mother for 4 weeks. After 6 weeks, young muskrats are ready to leave the den. Length wise this is the 7th shortest Gestation Period of the animal kingdom.

6. WOMBAT:
THE BABY HAS HER MOTHER'S CARE

Time length wise this is the 6th shortest pregnancy Period in the animal Kingdom. Female wombats stay pregnant for 27 days and give birth of only one baby. The baby wombat continues to grow up in the protection of her pouch for around 4 months. After 5 months the baby is out to explore their world.

5. GERBIL:
MOTHER IS FEEDING HER BABIES

They have the 5th shortest Gestation period in animal kingdom. The period is around 24 days. Female gerbil can give birth of around six baby gerbils or pups at a time. The mother takes care of them until they grow up for the outside world.

4. RAT:
 MOTHER IS WITH HER YOUNG RATS

The Gestation period of rats varies for 20 - 22 days. Rats are in 4th position in this table. They can give birth of 5 to 10 young rats at a time. Young rats grows up in their mother’s protection and care for around 2 months.

3. HAMSTER:
MOTHER AND YOUNG HAMSTER

Female hamster gives birth of a baby in 20 days. Under pregnancy period females spent more time to eat than any other work.  The mother’s care and protection for young hamster last for 5 weeks. Hamsters are in 3rd position on this Gestation Period table of animal kingdom.


2. MOUSE (DOMESTIC):
JUST BORN BABIES 

White mouse are in 2nd position in this table by time of Gestation period. Female mouse stays pregnant for around 19 days. After Pregnancy Period they give birth of 5 to 12 young mice at a time. Young babies stays with their mother for 1 month.

1.  OPOSSUM:
MOTHER IS CARRYING HER BABIES ON HER BACK

Female opossum takes only 12-13 days after mating and gives birth of babies. They are at top position of shortest Gestation period of the whole animal kingdom. They produce 6 to 8 pups at a time. Female carries their babies on their pouch till age of 2 months. After 2 months female carries them on their back for 6 months age.

TRADITIONAL FESTIVALS

India is the land of festivals. The land adopted various religions, customs, and languages as Mother. Here every religion has right to celebrate their festival in their own way. People forget about all the obstacles and participate in every festival. In India festivals happens throughout the year. Ganpati Puja,  Durga puja, Holi, Eid, Jaanmastami, Chhat, Dewali, X-mas these are the major festivals of India. Everyone can take part to enjoy the celebration. Apart from all, some traditional festivals are also celebrated in India. This traditional Festival limits within a few communities. They are still carrying the tradition by Generations. Some of these Festivals are very dangerous and deadly. Here we will discuss about 10 unknown traditional Festivals of India.

1. THIMITHI:
FIRE WALKING

This is a Fire-Walking festival in Tamil Nadu. There is a story in Hindu Mythology,  that Draupadi walked on burning coal to prove her innocence after the war between Kaurava and Pandava. Some Tamil communities worship Draupadi as their village God. Thimithi ceremony happens every year before Diwali. People start making the fire pit from the previous night of the ceremony day. As per ritual devotees begins walk in early morning and it ends before 11 am. Many devotees suffer burn injuries on their feet. But they believe on their worship. Fire-walking ceremony is not only practiced in India, But also in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries.

2. JALLIKATTU:
JALLIKATTU CELEBRATION

This is a famous traditional sport in Tamil Nadu. Jallikattu is also known as Manju Virattu. This traditional sport is celebrated on January during Pongal Festival. There is a meaning of the Tamil Word, “Jalli” means “gold or silver coins” and “Kattu” means “Tied” The sport is between big bull (with big horns) and crowd of people. Many people participate in this game to ride the bull hump and take off the flag from the horns to win. This is a very deadly game, many of the participants died during the game.

3. BANI FESTIVAL:
BANI FESTIVAL

This is a stick fighting festival in Andhra Pradesh. Bani Festival is celebrated in Devaragattu Temple at Karloon in Andhra and Karnataka Boarder. Every year during Dassera, many people take part on this Festival of Sri Mala Malleswara Swamy in Devaragattu. The Festival begins after sunset and runs all night. People celebrate it by fighting each other with stick and hit their head to one another. They believe that if they don’t performed then Lord Malleshwar will be angry on them.

4 PULIKALI:
PULIKALI MAKEOVER

Pulikali is a Festival of Kerala during Onam. This is a folk art display festival. Every participants of Pulikali displays this art on their body. The traditional art is still in practice in Thissur and Palaghat district in Kerala. Actual meaning of Pulikali is “Play of the Tiger”. In this Festival people paint their body with Folk art of hunting, tigers, big eyes and big teeth. People represent their culture by makeover and traditional dance.

5. BABY TOSSING:
BABY TOSSING


Baby tossing is a ritual custom in Karnataka and Maharashtra. This is a process to drop the infant from 30ft of the ground. This is very dangerous and deadly process, and banded by the government of India. But in many places it still happens as a tradition of their culture.

6. THAIPUISM:   
THAIPUISM


This is a major traditional festival in Tamil community. Thaipuism is celebrated at Palani city in Tamil Nadu. This festival is celebrated all over South India and some other countries as well. Devotees prepare for this festival from 48 days by fasting and pray. In that day some of the devotes carry a pot of milk as a burden (kavadi), some carry burdens on the flesh by penetrating the tongue, cheeks or all over body with skewers. This festival is worship of Lord Murugan and celebrated on January.

7. MADAI FESTIVAL:
MADAI CELEBRATION DANCE

Madai Festival is a traditional celebration of tribal (Baster People) groups in Chhattisgarh. This festival happens in a big ground. Thousands of people celebrate it with dancing on traditional song and beating drams. They consume drink and eat traditional foods to celebrate this festival on their own way. A goat is sacrificed in honor of the tribal Gods beneath a sacred tree. The goat is taken around the whole village with beating of drums and bells. Marriage is also a unique part of this tradition, which continues all night long.

8. CHARAK:
CHARAK FESTIVAL

This is a folk festival celebrated in West Bengal. It happened on the last month of Bengali calendar. It continues for a month, people follow difficult rules to satisfy Lord Shiva. Female devotees celebrate it with pray and fasting. Male devotees swing from the pole by hooks penetrating through their back skin. The hooks attached to the pole by ropes.

9. AOLEANG MONYU FESTIVAL:
KONYAK TRIBE

This is the biggest and most significant festival in Nagaland. Konyak tribe celebrates this festival during the 1st week of April. They are well known for “Head Hunting” in Nagaland. Celebrating this Festival is for welcoming the spring and New Year. During the Aoleang Festival many rituals take place including dancing, feasting and prays for a good harvest.
Hoi Lah NyihYin Mok Pho Nyih and Mok Shek Nyih are the three days of the Aoleang festival. These days are spent for weaving traditional cloths, collecting the animals which will be sacrificed. Rice beer is a traditional beverage made by the tribes.
10. KILA RAIPUR:  
CART-RACE COMPETITION 

Kila Raipur is a rural sports festival. It is also known as rural Olympic. This Olympic is organized annually by the Grewal Sport Committee in Panjab. Village athletes participate in this event. Cart-race is one of the most popular sports of this festival. This game is very dangerous. The bull-cart is carried by two big horn bulls. Players run their cart as fast as possible towards the end point to win the game. Many other sports competitions are held here, like Rope pulling, wrestling, running, weight lifting and jumping. Audience enjoys this sports festival very much. They gather to cheer up the athletes.

14th Feb, the day of love has been celebrating as Valentine’s Day from several centuries around the World. All lovers wait for this day to express their affection. The day is dedicated for lovers, who approach their feelings to their crush. At present Valentine’s Day celebration is for all, lovers, friends, couples, sisters, brother even parents. Everyone makes this day their own way. There are 7 more days preceded by Valentine’s Day, starting from 7th Feb. These all days are as popular as Valentine’s Day, every singles day known by certain name.


7th Feb is celebrated as Rose day......
8th Feb is celebrated as Propose day......
9th Feb is celebrated as Chocolate day......
10th  Feb is celebrated as Teddy day.......
11th Feb is celebrated as Promise day........
12th is celebrated as Hug day.........

1. JAPAN : 
SPECIAL CHOCOLATES IN JAPAN 

Japanese Valentine’s Day is not like as others, they celebrate the day in special way. In Japan there is a tradition that woman give chocolates & gifts to their love one. Women gift two types of chocolate, Giri-choco and Honmei-choco to their men. Giri-choco (valentine special chocolate) is not related to any kind love or affection. This chocolates is for friends, collogues, and other male person. And Honmei-choco is only made for couples. Japanese women make it by their own hand. They think that handmade Honmei-choco has power for their long lasting relationship.

2. FINLAND :
CELEBRATING FRIEND'S DAY

In all over the world, people celebrate Valentine’s Day with their lover. Couples spend lot of money to present gifts and feel their crush special. But in Finland Valentine’s Day is not like that. Here people celebrate 14th Feb as a Friend’s Day and prefer to enjoy the day with other friends.

3. PORTUGAL :
HANDMADE HANDKERCHIEF

In Portugal there is a unique way to celebrate 14th Feb or Valentine’s Day. There Valentine’s Day is known as the Day of Enamored or Lover’s Day. Woman expresses their affection by giving handmade handkerchief to their lovers.

4. SOUTH KOREA :

CELEBRATING WHITE DAY ON 14 MARCH 

In South Korea, people enjoy 14th Feb as Valentine’s Day with lot of chocolates and candies. In this time shopkeepers decorate their shop with chocolates like Ferrero Rocher, Cadbury, candy etc. Couples celebrate two kind of Valentine’s Day in South Korea, one happens on 14th Feb, where women present gifts to their men. Other one is known as White Day, it is celebrated on 14th March, where men present gifts to their women as a return gift of Valentine’s Day.  

5. LEBANON :
MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

In Lebanon, couples express their love by exchanging cards, chocolates, roses & gifts. They prefer to spend their time with their love. Lebanese people celebrate their Valentine’s Day in a special way. Man asks woman for dinner and there he gives her gifts and proposes for marriage. Families also take part for celebration of Valentine’s Day.

6. PARIS :
FRONT OF "I LOVE YOU" WALL

They say Paris is the most romantic city in the world. Everyone wants to go to Paris at least once in their lifetime. Paris is the perfect place to propose and say I LOVE YOU to love person. The 14th Feb celebration in Paris has unique style.  Couples make kisses under the Eiffel Tower, meet front of the wall of “I LOVE YOU” in the Square Jehan Rictus. To make that day perfect they go for cruise dinner.

7. CHINA :
DOUBLE SEVENTH FESTIVAL IN CHINA

Chinese celebrates their Valentine’s Day according their lunar month. In Chinese calendar Double Seventh Festival is called as Chinese Valentine’s Day. This traditional festival will happen on 7 August 2019 this year.

8. SWEDEN :
ALL HEARTS' DAY
In Sweden, Valentine’s Day is call as Alla hjärtans dag or "All Hearts' Day". Sweden couples celebrate that day with their special person. They present special gifts, rose and chocolate to their crush.

9. ISRAEL :
CELEBRATION OF Tu B'Av

In Israel people celebrate Valentine’s Day not like the others do. They celebrate Valentine’s Day with live concert, dating with romantic dinner, go and enjoy friend’s parties. There is another love day on august which called Tu B’Av. They also celebrate that day as summer Valentine’s Day.

10. PAKISTAN :
SAY NO! TO VALENTINE'S DAY 

14th Feb is not only for love, it also a day of friendship. According to Pakistani news, Pakistani High court banned 14th Feb as a Valentine’s Day celebration in the country.

As per the new number system of Dec-2018, India has 87 highways or 228 National Highways as per old number system. At present declaration total network length of National Highway is around 1,31,326 Km.
NH 44 is the longest National Highway in India covers the North-South Corridor and it running over 3,745 Km (2,327 Mile) from Srinagar to Kanyakumari. Do you know which the shortest one …? We always want to know about the highest, biggest, longest and tallest, no one wants to know about the smaller things. Here we will discuss about unknown shortest National Highways in India, which are equally helping India to connect people. 
1  10.   NH 37A :  
National Highway 37A
This is the 10th shortest National Highway in India. It connects Kuarital-Tezpur junction with NH 52 in Assam. Its total length is 23 Km (14 Mile).

 9.   NH 4B :

National Highway 4B

Length wise NH 4B is the 9th shortest National Highway. It covers 20 Km (12 Mile) through Maharashtra. It is a busy route of Jawaharlal Nehru port trust near KM 109- Palspe in Maharashtra.

 8.  NH 17A,  NH 31B & NH 56B :

National Highway 31B

All these three National Highways have got 8th position in this list for their equal length. They cover total 19 Km (12 Mile) distance.
NH 17A is junction with NH 17 near Cortalm-Mormugao in Goa.
NH 31B is junction with NH 37 near Jogighopa- North Salmara in Assam.
NH 56B is connects with NH 56 and NH 28 in UP.

7.   NH 24A & NH 47C : 

National Highway 47C

Length wise there is two National Highways demanding for this 7th shortest position. Both cover 17 Km (11 Mile). NH 24A connects Bakshi ka Talab- Chenhat in UP and NH 47C is a junction with NH 47 at Kalamassery-Vallarpadom ICTT in Kochi, Kerala.

6.    NH 57A :

National Highway 57A

NH 57A is the 6th shortest National Highway by its length. It is junction of NH 57 near Forbesganj- Jogbani in Bihar. It covers 15 Km (9.3 Mile) in Bihar. 

5.   NH 151 :
NH 151 Indo Bangladesh Border

This is a major National Highway in India. It connects Karimganj – Indo Bangladesh border in Assam. Length wise it is the 5th shortest National Highway which is running 14 Km (8.7 Mile) through Assam.

4.   NH 56A :
National Highway 56A

NH 56A is the 4th shortest National Highway in India by its length. In Chenhat (Uttar Pradesh) NH 56A is connecting with NH 28 and NH 56. It covers around 13 Km (8.1 Mile) in Uttar Pradesh.

3.   NH 54A :
NH 54A Mizoram

National Highway 54A is the 3rd shortest highway in India. In Mizoram it covers 9 Km (5.6 Mile) between Theriat- Lunglei.

2.  NH 1C :
Domel-Katra NH 1C

This is the 2nd shortest National Highway in India. It is also known as Domel- Katra highway in Jammu & Kashmir. Its total length is around 8 Km (5 Mile).

1.   NH 47A :
NH 47 the shortest National Highway of India

National Highway 47A is the shortest National Highway in India. It covers 6 Km (3.7 Mile) between Kundanoor - Willingten island in Kochi, Kerala.
